Geological and Mining Engineering and Sciences at Michigan Tech.

Needed Background

Students are expected to have completed a college preparatory curriculum in high school or equivalent. Courses of study should include chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, English (especially written and oral communication skills), and social science. Courses in biology and earth science are desirable. Background in computers is strongly encouraged. Opportunities exist for those students strongly interested in the outdoors, those interested in computers and technology, as well as economics and management.
