The period under review began with the cessation of the broad band tremor, which had been evident since 03:00 on 13 February. There was also a decrease in the number of the larger hybrid earthquakes which were previously observed every few hours on the seismic stations at Gages and Chances Peak. Although the number has decreased, three of these hybrid earthquakes were large enough to be instrumentally located beneath the volcano at depths of between 0 and 2 km and with magnitudes of approximately 1.0. Other seismic signals, consistent with that of small rockfalls and eruptions, continued to occur throughout the review period.
Intermittent, heavy rainfall and low cloud cover prevented EDM measurements from being undertaken today.
No views were obtained of conditions in English's Crater today due to low cloud which obscured the top of Soufriere Hills volcano.
