Seven (7) earthquakes were located during the night. Of these 7 volcano-tectonic events, four (4) were located just south of St. George's Hill, two (2) beneath the Soufriere Hills volcano and one (1) in the Windy Hill area. Their focal depths were in the range 2-6 km. Several small long period events were also recorded, mainly by the Gages seismic station. Several episodes of broadband tremor of variable duration (minutes to several hours) and amplitude occurred during this period. This tremor is again interpreted as being due to increased steam emission from the crater.
