Fourteen (14) earthquakes were located during the period under review. The events were located mainly beneath the Soufriere Hills Volcano with a few occurring in the Windy Hill and Fox's Bay area. The events were mainly volcano-tectonic with focal depths in the range 1-5km. There were three long period events and several episodes of broadband tremor.
One eruption signal was recorded at 11:29 today. This event was observed from the Observatory and by scientists conducting EDM measurements at Windy Hill. The event generated ashfall in the immediately vicinity of English Crater.
EDM measurements were made at all EDM sites today. The lines measured do not show any changes from the measurements made on the 29th October. There was no change in the Tar River EDM line.
Low cloud cover and generally overcast conditions prevented any visual observations from being made of conditions at the crater today.
