Activity at the volcano remained relatively quiet during the past twenty-four hours. There was one period of ash and steam venting which occurred at about 10:59 pm last night. Apart from this event there were 24 rockfall signals and 2 volcano-tectonic earthquakes recorded by the seismograph network.
Clear conditions this morning allowed further measurements to be made on the dome to assist with volume estimates.
Measurements were made for the first time today on a new EDM network at Long Ground.
Residents of Montserrat are advised to keep listening to ZJB Radio Montserrat for information in case of any changes in the state of the volcano.
