The volcano has been quiet during the past 24 hours, with 11 rockfall signals, 8 volcano-tectonic earthquakes and 2 hybrid earthquakes recorded by the seismic network.
COSPEC measurements of sulphur dioxide from the Police Launch were made this morning. The amount recorded was 210 tonnes per day, a reduction from readings over the past few weeks. This may be due in part to variable winds so that the gas plume was not very well developed.
The volcano-wide GPS survey was completed today and the data are being processed.
Dust levels were low at all sites today.
Residents should continue listening to Radio Montserrat in case there are sudden developments in the state of the volcano.
