The level of activity at the volcano was low today. There were 15 volcano-tectonic earthquakes, 3 hybrid earthquakes and 14 rockfalls.
The results of the EDM survey of the line from Windy Hill to the northern crater wall on 13 August have been processed and show that this line continues to lengthen. This observation is consistent with continued relaxation of the volcano and the absence of any further magma ascent. There was a COSPEC run today and the results will be given in tomorrows report.
Dust levels were low at all stations.
Residents should continue listening to Radio Montserrat in case there are sudden developments in the state of the volcano.
