Activity at the volcano has been at a low level during the past 24 hours. 1 rockfall signal, 1 hybrid and 16 volcano-tectonic earthquakes were recorded by the seismic stations.
MVO scientists are working with colleagues from the University of Rhode Island, USA around the coast of Montserrat this week. The study aims to map the sea floor around the volcano and will concentrate on the extent of deposits in the areas of the Tar River and the White River.
Dust levels were low at all stations today.
Residents should continue listening to Radio Montserrat in case there are sudden developments in the state of the volcano.
