Seismic activity at the volcano was at about the same level as yesterday with rockfalls, small hybrid earthquakes and a few volcano-tectonic earthquake recorded during the period. These events were distributed over the entire reporting period but there was one period of elevated seismic activity between 1 and 3 am this morning during which most of the rockfalls occurred.
The top of the dome remains obscured by cloud this morning although the lower parts of the inactive northern flank was visible from the MVO camera at Centre Hills early this morning.
