Seismic activity at the volcano overnight was dominated by rockfall signals. These were more abundant at the early in the night and picked up again this morning. Apart from these signals there was very little real earthquake activity. One regional earthquake was recorded by the local network at about 7:26 last night.
The lave dome continue to grow rapidly in the scar left after the Boxing Day eruption despite it outwardly quiet appearance. The volcano was overcast this morning and no clear views were obtained..
