The seismicity on the volcano overnight and for the early part of the day has consisted mainly of a few rockfalls and a few hybrid events. At 6:53 pm yesterday November 28, the local network of seismographs record a large earthquake (magnitude 6.3) which occurred near the Peru- Bolivia border.
Pyroclastic flows can occur without any warning and as the dome continues to grow these can be expected to travel down ghauts on any flank of the volcano. Everyone is advised to listen to Radio Montserrat for any new information.
