UPDATED REPORT ON DAMAGE CAUSED BY TORRENTIAL RAINS CAUSED BY TYPHOON GENING (INTERNATIONAL CODE NAME KENT) INDICATES THAT NUMBER OF PERSONS AFFECTED IN REGIONS I, II, III, IV, V AND NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (METRO MANILA) TOTALLED 195,886 OR 39,358 FAMILIES. CASUALTIES TOTALLED 6. 2. IN ILOCOS NORTE PROVINCE, DAMAGE TO INFRASTRUCTURE AND AGRICULTURE INCREASED TO ABOUT USD 351,000 (P 8.916 MILLION). 3. IN BATANES PROVINCE, DAMAGE TO CROPS, INFRASTRUCTURE AND PRIVATE PROPERTIES AMOUNTED TO ABOUT USD 3,078,000 (P 78.187 MILLION). 4. IN BACOLOR TOWN IN PAMPANGA PROVINCE, 500 HOUSES WERE BURIED UNDER A LAHAR FROM 4 TO 5 FEET DEEP. THREE SCHOOLS, PUBLIC MARKET, WATER WORKS, CHURCH AND ROADS WERE DAMAGED. IN FLORIDA BLANCA TOWN ALSO IN PAMPANGA, EARTH DIKES, SPUR DIKES AND SANDBAGGING WERE PARTIALLY WASHED OUT OR ERODED. DAMAGE TO CROPS, LIVESTOCKS AND INFRASTRUCTURE AMOUNTED TO ABOUT USD 379,000 (P 9.636 MILLION). 5.
