From: Enrique CoenSubject: New eruptions Costa Rica Date: Fri, 10 Nov 1995 09:01:58 MST This is an unofficial report, official report will follow, hope shortly!. Volcano Rincon de la Vieja , located 85.5W 10.2 N has started a new cicle of eruptions, of greater magnitude than usual. Activity started last monday and is reported to be mainly volcanic ash and water vapour. Scientists are arriving to the field, and evacuation efforts are being made by the local autorities, some 300 families have been relocated. Rivers are transporting great amount of ash and have increased the flow in them, AVHHR data collected has so far given no indication of ash transport due mainly to heavy cloud formations in the area.
