This is a 4 minute long look at the local red rocks.  A huge pile of sediments that filled the rift valley from higher terrains that surrounded it after the great Continent split and began to separate. These dramtic rocks have spectacular exposures, especially near the lake shores.  They also contain interesting fossils and help make everywhere they occur more interesting--craggy reefs.
