This Santiaguito dataset
is very exciting.
Here is just one interesting preliminary observation
of the seismo-acoustic data:
Waveforms at left were
recorded 700 m from the vent.
For a conjoint seismo-acoustic source the seismic signal
should begin ~2 s before the acoustic arrival, however this event shows
~12 s of precursory short-period seismicity prior to the visible eruption
at the vent! This type of precursory
seismicity is nearly ubiquitous at Santiaguito, but not at many
other volcanoes.
