2012

The A E Seaman Museum is the premier mineral museum of the Lake Superior region, and where you can find the best specimens of all of the minerals that make up this first great mineral district of North America. It was originated by AE Seaman himself, a mineralogist who was on the Michigan Tech faculty from 1885 to 1943. The museum is among the finest academic mineral museums in the world.  It is particularly known for the unique Copper Country mineral suite. Don’t miss it!

Outside the museum is a rock garden display, and the museum is sited on the location of Mabbs Vein.
